Founded in Montalcino in 1976 by Sergio Rossi, La Gerla grew out of a small estate that belonged to the Biondi Santi family and has, over time, established itself as one of the region’s most representative producers. Its Rosso di Montalcino DOC expresses the freshest and most immediate character of Sangiovese, presented here in its original wooden crate.

Made from 100 per cent Sangiovese, La Gerla Rosso di Montalcino is characterised by its intense ruby colour and a refined, fragrant and fruity profile. On the palate, it is fresh, harmonious and pleasantly balanced, with the characteristic elegance typical of the winery’s wines. Versatile at the table, it pairs well with cured meats, flavourful pasta dishes and meat.
