The brothers Giovanni, Osvaldo and Paola and the new generation represented by Cecilia and Giulia Longo successfully run one of the leading companies in the food and wine sector, as demonstrated by the initiative The art of giving food !, a meeting to you for you with the producers, to touch an original gift, always new, out of conventions and of absolute quality.
Many Italian companies present: "We have been working with the Longo family for over 4 years with great satisfaction: their brand certainly gives an added value to our nougat and praline", says Fabio Quaranta, owner of the Bergamo company of the same name. "We were rewarded as R-Innovators of the Earth by Expo 2015: one of the many awards obtained over the years and we like the idea of bringing this heritage of ours to our Longo packaging, always of the highest quality", says Marco D'Oggiono, founder of the Lombard company of traditional hams.
Names of Italian gastronomy from each region, each with its own characteristics and dimensions: "We work with a very short supply chain, working with sun-dried products, without preservatives and only at the right time", explains a manager of iContadini from Puglia.
There are also many well-known figures from Legnano, including the Mayor, Gianbattista Fratus and some councilors of the current municipal council.
"What we wanted to give to the guests of the evening", comments Giovanni Longo, "is a journey through our history. A journey between our suppliers and above all our customers. There are many suppliers who have known us over the years and who are still at our side. The company was born many years ago by Papa Consiglio: we brothers grew up in a tavern and then created the packaging center, the wine shop and, finally, the corporate gift. Today our work is mainly identified with the Christmas gift, even if a lot has changed in these years: the food and wine gift has so many opportunities to be used, there is no need for an opportunity".
The evening, led by the well-known TV presenter Federico Quaranta, ended with a show staged by the prestigious winery, Cà del Bosco, which during the risotto service astonished guests with a degorgement a la volée, as it was done until at the beginning of the twentieth century.
